Certainly Not So Anonymous Anymore
The following is an absolutely true story.
I was working at the University today. It's a short, temporary gig. I enjoy working at the University as it allows me to meet new people and make new friends.
A handsome fellow approached me while I was working.
"Aren't you that blogger?", he said.
"Yes, I am, a blogger.", I replied, unsure if I was THAT blogger or not?
"I thought I recognized you," he said.
"Oh, wow. Well, isn't that fun?!"
"Are you a blogger, too?"
"No, I'm just a geek. I just know people who know you."
"Oh, well, I guess that's certainly possible."
"Didn't you just have dinner with Dave Winer and a whole bunch of other people?"
"Yes, I did. Just a few nights ago. If I had known you, I certainly would have invited you, too. Wait, he's coming back through town. Would you like to maybe have dinner with him?"
"Really, that would be so cool!"
"Send me an email. From my blog. I'll see what I can do..."
"Thanks. I'll do that!"
And off the handsome gentleman went. I don't even know his name. And to him? I'm just THAT blogger!
I love it when things like that happen, though. Really. Our gigantic world is just getting smaller and smaller. And moments like that? Well, they really are some of the moments that make blogging so very worth it.

Hey nakedjen
It's me, the guy from the bookstore. Looking forward to dinner when Dave comes back through SLC. In response to, "And to him?" Celeb Blogger shock?!

Jen, if a guy were to walk up to a beautiful woman and say, "Aren't you NakedJen?", there's a very good chance that he'd get slugged if it wasn't you. Or possibly arrested.
And nobody remembers your name is Ms. Neal.
YOU are the one who refers to yourself as "just a blogger." He didn't begin to suggest that you are merely a blogger; instead, he treated you as a superstar among bloggers.
And referring to you as NakedJen makes it seem as if he values you only for your body, rather than for your generous spirit and adventuresome soul.
You seem impressed by him. You call him handsome. He seems well-mannered. Assuming that Stella and Buddha agree he's a good person, there are probably a lot of us hoping that you two hit it off.
Because you are wonderful, and you are obviously wonderfully complete, all by yourself, but life can be so much better when there's someone special in it.

I don't really think the "naked" in nakedjen is just referring to physical nakedness. Just my take. And as she actually named her blog nakedjen, and has a website with that as its url, I am puzzled by your assessment.
And no one would get slugged OR arrested. Unless you were there, apparently.
